Jacqui Watkins is a Bristol based designer and printmaker. She studied textiles at Loughborough College of Art /Design and has had a long career as a commercial designer in the fashion industry. Over the past ten years she has combined her love for drawing and pattern within the practice of printmaking. Increasingly, she has strived to go back to her roots in textile design, stripping it back to a more traditional form of hand printing by cutting individual lino blocks.

The range of patterns is constantly evolving. Inspiration comes from a love for plants and flowers, the simplicity of Scandinavian design and a passion for pattern.
The product range has expanded in the last 2 years to now include an extensive collection of cards based on her lino cuts , mugs and coasters.

The designs are clean, fresh and simple, and the method of block printing also gives a lovely textural, slightly faded quality to the image. A traditional technique with a modern approach.
