ELLA DORAN

ELLA DORAN

Ella Doran, originally from Bristol is now an established London designer. Her work will be immediately recognisable. She has transformed everyday objects into design-conscious pieces through the clever manipulation of the photographic image, either on its own, in repeat or combined with striking hand-coloured backgrounds. In 2005 Ella opened her studio with a small shop front to the public and now sells both online and through the store. Ella has worked with the Tate Modern for several years now designing ranges for their museums, she has also designed for John Lewis and Habitat (to name a few). She will be exhibiting at Christmas at the Orangery this year, so it is a wonderful chance for you to see her work in all its glory.



CHARLOTTE MACEY

CHARLOTTE MACEY TEXTILES

Charlotte Macey Textiles makes Handmade textile home wares decorated with illustrative and quirky stitching. Charlotte is based in the heart of the Cotswold countryside. It is there in her little studio that she finds inspiration, as she designs and lovingly hand makes each new cosy or tea towel, before sending them off to their new home! Her illustrative stitch 'handwriting' depicts a menagerie of elongated and quirky items. Charlotte will be selling her range of home wares for the first time this year at Christmas at the Orangery.

CHOCOLATE DELORES

Chocolate Delores is run by Lizzie Melling and based in Bristol. She creates her own wonderfully delicious, visually stunning hand made chocolates and chocolate cakes for Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas, etc. Lizzie's amazing chocolates and cakes are fun, funky, very luxurious, whilst being extremely delicious. She also makes Chocolate Stiletto Shoes and Chocolate Florentines to order. All her cakes are handmade using Fairtrade, Organic and locally sourced ingredients. She is back by popular demand exhibiting at Christmas at the Orangery selling her delicious hand made chocolates and many other edible food gifts.

JULIA DAVEY

Julia Davey is a Bath based ceramicist who makes small batches of earthenware ceramic items inspired by personal events, places and objects - one day it’s flamingos at the zoo and the next it's a bee trapped in her garden shed! Julia decorates tableware using original illustrations combined with decadent lustre and makes jewellery, delicate butterflies and hand-formed coasters. She will be exhibiting for the first time at Christmas at the Orangery this year and a range of her products.

Eleon Fine Foods is a small family business passionate about high quality foods. They produce Unfiltered Extra Virgin Greek Olive Oil. Delicious olive oil straight from their family olive grove in Greece. The Stamatopoulos family have lived in the coastal town of Filiatra, Messinia for generations, it is this area of the Peloponnese in Greece that is known for the production of superior quality olive oil. They will be selling their delicious olive oils, as well as organic balsamic vinegars from Modena, Italy and rustic olive wood products, such as Bowls, chopping boards and other kitchen products.

Adrian Sykes is a Bristol Artist who has a reputation for producing truly eclectic mixes of pieces. His extensive portfolio of work covers a wide range of form and images; from his extraordinary explorations of light and dark in the intricately detailed black and white drawings, to the fascinating land of his imagination, transporting us into a world of darkly humorous and quirky characters as they play out their wit on the paper.  He will be exhibiting for the first time at Christmas at the Orangery selling original artworks of local scenes, prints of local scenes and prints of Italy and france. All Quirky, humorous and detailed.

Elsie Belle is a vibrant Bristol based jewellery company featuring charms, trinkets and treasures galore. All their pieces are handmade in their Bristol studio with great care and attention to detail using reworked vintage and inspired components sourced from around the world. They will be exhibiting for the first time at Christmas at the Orangery and selling American brass lockets and stampings pressed from original vintage designs, Japanese lucite flowers, Czech glass beads, hand painted porcelain cabochons and beautiful hand wired freshwater pearls. Elsie Belle have been featured in a number of fashion and lifestyle publications including Look, Company, Heat, Cosmopolitan and the Sunday Time Style Magazine. Celebrities spotted wearing Elsie Belle jewellery include Holly Willoughby, Fern Cotton, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott, Dawn Porter and Rachel Stevens.

RACHEL GOODCHILD


Rachel Goodchild is a Bristol based Designer who also organises the Christmas at the Orangery event. She will be selling her Christmas gift wrap, gift tags, bags, boxes, journals and charity Christmas cards at this years show.

Anna Falcke is a Bristol based textile designer who makes scarves and accessories, specialises in the design of exclusive textiles and fabrics fo use in women's accessories. She will be selling her beautiful hand painted Silk velvet scarves, Pleated fleece scarves and wrist warmers for adults and children. Plus, new this year, Pleated wrap, Ruffle (pleated neck warmer with ruffle trim),  Loopee (pleated looped scarf with ruffle trim) and men's wristees.

This Bristol based company will be selling their stunning children's range of art prints, home wares, paper goods and clothing. Look out for their lunch boxes, money boxes and tape!

Custard Designs are from Gloucestershire and will be exhibiting at Christmas at the Orangery for the first time this year. They will be selling a hand selected  range of handbags and fashion accessories in primarily leather and also in fabric. They will also be selling wallets, Knitted hats/scarves and Gloves, Woven scarves, Leather Gloves, Leather/fabric belts and a small selection of jewellery. 

MULLION COVE

MULLION COVE

Mullion Cove  will be back again selling a selection of Cornish goodies including real English tea from the Tregothnan Estate, beautifully wrapped Cornish food hampers and a selection of their own Cornish fairings. These sweet and spiced Cornish biscuits are handmade using no added preservatives or flavourings, just good honest and traditional ingredients. Look out for their new Christmas flavours including crystalised ginger and dark chocolate dipped fairings!

Gillian Stein creates Individual mixed metal contemporary designs with a narrative edge. Gillian's work is made out of hand wrought silver, brass and copper. She use the processes of hammering, reticulation and rolling with textures. The majority of her pieces are unique and some are produced in limited editions. All the earring, brooch and necklace fittings are sterling silver. Gillian will be selling all of her lovely collection this year at Christmas at the Orangery.

Cool 4 Cats is the Bristol based company of Tim Bullock, who designs and creates fantastic paper craft automata kits. Very original Christmas gifts and good for posting abroad too! Tim's kits come gift packaged and are given as a kit for the receiver to make up. Once made up each of the models do something. You really have to come and see Tim's stand. In the meantime here is a video that shows the extent of what his models can do once built.

Joanna Swan's beaded jewellery is unique and eye-catching, with no piece the same. Bristol based Joanna Swan will be selling her vibrant and colourful jewellery at Christmas at the Orangery this year. Get there early to snap up her one-off pieces to look gorgeous in the festive season.

Liz Ferguson makes Homemade Christmas tree decorations using vintage items, Christmas Stockings using vintage and contemporary fabrics, A selection of wrapped bakery goods (such as her very popular meringues, Caramelised orange mince pies, cakes etc). Her pickles and preserves are always beautifully packaged and are suitable for Christmas gifts. Her Christmas bunting sells fast!  She will also be selling potted hyacinths/kissing boughs, hot chocolate mugs and lots of other lovely vintagey kitschy things that she will make along the way!!!

Leighton Practice is a Bristol based complementary healthcare practice, providing massage therapy, reflexology and aromatherapy.  The practitioner, Pamala Connor will be at Christmas at the Orangery selling a range of products which provide not only therapeutic care, but which can be seen as pleasantly pampering. Though luxurious products – many of them hand-made and from entirely natural ingredients – they are all reasonably priced and make ideal gifts. Included are Balm Balm products, an exclusive range of creams and balms, which are hard to source locally and a range of hand-made soaps.

Morag MacInnes is a Bristol based ceramic artist who splits her years living  between Bristol and Spain. She makes gorgeous hand painted ceramics. She will be exhibiting this year and selling her one-off domestic ware, earthenware plates, platters and pots, plus her smoke fired sculptures of dogs

Felt so Good is a Bristol based company who sells Products made out of colourful felt. These beautiful items are made from 100% New Zealand sheep’s wool fibres. They are then massaged and manipulated to create the innovative and funky products that you see here. They will be selling a collection of Home & Gift products as well as brooches, key rings, hair accessories, rings, bracelets, finger puppets bags, purses and a magical Christmas collection. 



SUSIE PARR


Susie Parr, Bristol based craft-maker, makes beautiful hand knitted and crocheted items made from organic, unusual and locally sourced wools in natural colours. These are all knitted by Susie Parr and her niece. This year she will be selling scarves, hats, fingerless mits, bootees and hot water bottle covers. But be warned...Last year Susie sold of her natural knits, so get there fast!

WARWICK BORSAY


Warwick Borsay, who is based in Bath, specialises in creating contemporary hand-made stone vessels for the home. The range is made from Bath stone and focuses on simple, clean lines in a beautiful, tactile material. The range is made using casting techniques with Bath stone to produce contemporary stone vessels for cool, calm interiors.

SUSAN TAYLOR ART

SUSAN TAYLOR ART

Susan Taylor  designs and creates graphical typographical prints, cards and tea towels for contemporary rooms.  Affordable and on-trend, Susan's work is much influenced by years spent as a graphic designer in advertising agencies. The Bristol based artist has created a Bristol print, depicting the icons around the city, which is her most popular piece to date. For the first time this year she will be exhibiting at Christmas at the Orangery and selling her screenprints, tea towels and Christmas cards.

MATT WAITE POTTERY

MATT WAITE POTTERY
Matt Waite Pottery is based in Wiltshire. He makes a range of tableware alongside individual and larger pieces using a Cornish stoneware clay. The pots are fired in an 18 cuft gas kiln, built in 2004, which takes up to 14 hours to reach the top temperature of 1300c. The glazes, which are mostly oriental in origin, include copper reds, iron rich tenmoku, shino, kaki, blue jun and a cream coloured chun. Other glazes make use of estuary mud and wood ash, creating the character and colour of the glaze. He will be selling a selection of his pottery this year at Christmas at the Orangery.

Wayneyedge Wood Products is a Bristol based company making Handmade wooden items using locally sourced wood from sustainable and reputable sources. Items on sale will be bowls, chopping/cheese boards, tea light holders, handmade wooden stick pencils, mirrors, coasters. Wayne is a member of The Forest of Avon Wood Products Cooperative, a group of over 50 members who promote the use of using locally sourced wood within a 50 mile radius of Bristol, all the items I will be selling will fit this remit. 

MAYA WILSON SOURCE


Maya Wilson Source is based in Bath and makes beautiful hand printed textile products. Created using pigment and discharge screen prints onto linen and cotton.  The nature of different linen textures allows for a wonderful variation in each print, making each cushion unique and made with love and care. At the Orangery this year she will be selling her  Kitchen linens, Cat Lavender bags and her Cushions.
